Quick answer

Full-time students up to age 26 should take the €15-a-month student subscription; everyone else can try FD Digitaal for 4 weeks for €1, which stops on its own, and should ask their employer whether it has an FD Zakelijk licence.

Generally not any more. Following advice from SURF, which negotiates licences for Dutch higher education, university libraries such as Tilburg and Erasmus ended their FD subscriptions on 1 January 2025 over privacy terms, and the FD is no longer in Nexis Uni. Check instead whether your employer has an FD Zakelijk licence.

Yes. Every subscription, including Weekend, includes the digital newspaper, from 6am in the FD app and 6:30am on FD.nl, Monday to Saturday. You can download it in the app and read it offline for 7 days.
