Quick answer
Germany
Die Welt through PressReader and Nexis Uni at Stadtbibliothek Köln
Cologne's city library offers the WELT e-paper in PressReader for the last three months, and WELT articles as text back to 1 March 1999 in Nexis Uni. You sign in on each platform with your library card number and PIN. Other libraries with PressReader or Nexis Uni may carry it too, so check your own library's database page.
Current issue and archive through Munzinger with a library card
Stadtbibliothek Heilbronn lists Die Welt in its Munzinger press service, with every article from the current issue and from the archive. The library recommends it for finding the paper of a particular day.
Die Welt in Nexis Uni through your university
Universities that license Nexis Uni give full-text access to Die Welt. The University of Erfurt library lists it there for its students and staff, on campus or from home through the university VPN. Search your library's database list for Nexis Uni.
Free news, videos and live TV in the WELT app
The WELT News & Live-TV app is free to download. It has news, videos, podcasts, a news ticker and the WELT TV live stream; only the exclusive WELTplus articles need a subscription.
WELTplus U30 for students under 30
The student discount sites Student Beans and UNiDAYS list a WELTplus monthly subscription for students at €5.99 a month, ordered online at welt.de. Student Beans says it is for students under 30 and that your age is checked when you order. We could not confirm the offer on welt.de itself.
WELTplus in the WELT app: 3 months at €0.99
The WELT News & Live-TV app on the App Store sells WELTplus at these prices, billed through your Apple account. The plan renews for the same term unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before it ends. We could not check the prices on welt.de itself, which may differ.
The WELT e-paper with WELTplus Premium
The WELT Edition app carries the e-paper of DIE WELT and WELT AM SONNTAG in the print layout, with tomorrow's paper from 7pm the evening before and regional news from every German state from Monday to Saturday. The app offers a free trial, and subscriptions can be cancelled at short notice.
